New work in progress
Jim has been working on a series of new works, here are some photos of the first piece in progress.

- Belton, Rutland
- I live and work in the Rutland village of Belton. I source most of my wood from the indigenous woods of the nearby Rockingham Forest. My main inspiration, however, comes from the various types of hardwood I collected whilst living in Africa, such as olive, stinkwood and eucalytpus. In carving I focus on the natural forms and colours present in the grain of the wood. I try to express in my work my reaction to the timeless peace and calm I feel in nature.
